There's something intimate about black and white photos I think - or maybe it's just that Brooke Baker (photographer wheretheheartis.nz@gmail.com) has done an awesome job of capturing a Mum and Dad's love for their baby.

I was thinking the other day how Selah won't remember much of this time. That may be a good thing (immunisations, wind, teething) but there's so many things we do for her that she won't remember consciously (us singing and playing with her, laughing in the mirror, cuddles). I know it's important for her development and well-being so I won't stop doing those things, but it might only be if she has a baby of her own that she'll know how much she is loved.

Ahhh, the revelation of love. The beauty of it's strength. The delight of it's fullness. The grace of it's Maker.

It's been great to have Frank around home for holidays and in the afternoons after he finished work (he did the morning show for a couple of weeks). I'll be lost without him for a little while before I find how to do 5things at once again (with him home I only had to do one and he did the rest).
Selah learns something new everyday that we don't teach her, e.g. sucking her top lip to make a popping sound, swiggling up to the top of the cot, eating her foot! See below

Selah's favourite toy (to cuddle and eat)...

Below: Selah wakes up and plays around before we get her up. She likes to find her feet -they haven't gone in her mouth yet though
I think I'll start going in months rather than weeks as it's getting hard to remember! Selah is 4months old and 'cute as', and still 'tiring as' but each week she shows us new tricks so I'm sure things will look very different soon enough ...
