This is actually a portable highchair that should be strapped to a chair but Selah thought it was her art chair for the afternoon. Her Mummy had to clean it down after the pencil and crayons slipped over the page...
In this video clip we've been playing with water inside on a muggy, rainy day. Selah is dancing and has a lid she is using as a cup.
Selah is now the proud owner of grommets in both ears. It seems strange to inflict pain/confusion on your own child even when you know it is for their good. It's similar to discipline and putting them to bed when they're crying. She was out of kilter for a day, then back to her normal self the next day. I can't imagine what it must be like for parents with very sick children needing lots of medical procedures done. Or God - imagine watching us all in pain and confusion and knowing what is around the corner (good or bad).
I feel blessed to have free Doctor's visits for babies, health insurance, and to be in a country where there are great Doctors and surgeries for relatively minor things. Yay NZ.
